Greg Nash, bass player with ECHO, and their soundman Tim Cummins, joined me today to chat about the band. They have played in local pubs and restaurants, in front of thousands at the Lighting Up of Brentwood and at the NEC in Birmingham amongst many varied venues. They play Tamla-Motown based good time music with a Christian edge. This has always proved very popular, as Greg commented, “particularly when the people are ready to sing and dance after a few beers.” Their second album, Soul Proprietors , was released on the Plankton label in 2017.
Greg chose three tracks from the album for today’s playlist. They show the quality of the arrangements and production, all delivered with joy. Keyboard player Ollie no longer lives in Essex, so the search is on for a new keyboard player. if you think that might be you, please contact the band. Facebook @echomusicuk or e-mail info@echomusic.
