World’s Most Luxurious Gambling Experiences

Gambling is enjoyed by rich and poor alike, but there are definitely differences between the kinds of experiences you can enjoy if you’ve got a lot of cash to splash, or just a small amount of disposable income to put towards your favourite pastime.

If you’re for luxury, then the top casino resorts in the world deliver this in spades. Even among this crowd of high end venues, there are some that stand out from the crowd, so let’s explore some examples of the most opulent gambling locations and the things that make them so special.

Discovering the Casino de Monte-Carlo

Picture a European casino, and you’ll probably be thinking of the Casino de Monte-Carlo, perhaps the most famous of the old-school gambling venues that is still operating today.

From the moment you see the over-the-top architecture of the exterior, complete with the fleet of supercars that are frequently parked outside, you’ll recognize that this is not your average casino. And of course Monte-Carlo is not your average resort.

Step inside and you’ll be dazzled by the ornate detail of the décor, with high ceilings hung with chandeliers, floors carpeted with incredible designs, and every inch of wall space crammed with adornments and crenellations.

Of course this is really a casino designed with high rollers in mind, so if you’re interested in learning how to become casino whale, it’s definitely worth building up a bankroll before you visit.

Equally if you don’t want to gamble but you do want to enjoy the rest of the casino’s facilities, there are two world-class restaurants and three lounge bars to keep you well fed and watered. Just remember to adhere to the smart dress code that’s enforced upon entry.

Making the most of Marina Bay Sands

In terms of architecture, the Marina Bay Sands casino is the polar opposite to the Casino de Monte-Carlo.

Spanning a total of three distinct towers, each of which is connected to the others via an incredible aerial walkway, this Singaporean landmark has become the gold standard for what a modern, luxury casino can offer, and is still being updated.

With hundreds of table games and thousands of slots, it has a vast casino floor which is packed with things to see and do.

If you book to stay at the resort, then you should definitely head up to the aforementioned interconnecting platform, because it is host to places to eat, drink and even swim, all while hanging hundreds of feet in the air above the nearby waterfront.

When you’ve had your fill of gambling and taking in the sights, you can head inside for a luxury shopping spree at the integrated mall, book tickets to a show at the in-house theater, or even soak up some history at the Marina Bay Sands museum.

Be dazzled by the Bellagio

Las Vegas can be a fickle market for casino operators. One year a resort will be flying high, the next it could be on the rocks, as the ebb and flow of the Strip leaves it struggling to attract customers.

While some one-great casinos have fallen out of favor and even been demolished entirely, the Bellagio is an enduring beacon of all that Sin City has come to represent in the modern era.

Sitting beneath the blazing desert sun, its fountain-filled lake out front is an apparent challenge to the elements, while inside its blissfully cool air conditioned interior it has everything you could possibly ask of a mega-casino.

From the incredible and expensive suites where the great and good of the world stay with their families and entourages, to the extensive, almost endless number of places to eat, grab a drink, and of course play some games, the Bellagio never fails to excite.

It’s also great if you find the formality of some of the casinos in other parts of the world a bit overbearing, as everyone is welcome within.

Kick back at the Venetian

We’re not talking about the Venetian casino resort in Las Vegas, although that is certainly worth a visit. Instead, its sister venue all the way over in Macau gets the nod here, for both being newer and more impressively excessive than its sibling.

With more than half a million square feet of space dedicated to gaming, and 3000 rooms to accommodate guests in the lap of luxury, there is no denying the imposing footprint of the Venetian Macau.

As the name suggests, inside and outside it is inspired by the Italian city of Venice, which means that it mixes old-world luxury with modern technology to great effect.

All that remains is for you to take your pick of these luxury gambling experiences and book a trip around them!
