The subject chosen by Margaret Mills today concerned a man from Saffron Walden who constructed the first Eddystone Lighthouse after losing two of his ships on the Eddystone rocks.
His name was Henry Winstanley and lived between 1644 and 1703.
Unfortunately for him, he met his untimely end whilst working on the project during the Great Storm on the 26th November in 1703.
