As England’s Women suffer the same fate in The Ashes as the Men, we update on the latest from Down Under. There is better news for England’s u19s Men, who have reached the Final of the u19s World Cup out in Antigua, where they face India in Saturday’s Final.

The fallout has started at the ECB after a poor 2021 for England and Ashley Giles is the first to go, we talk to Paul Newman from the Daily Mail and speculate on any further changes at the top. While we were on air, it was announced that Head Coach Chris Silverwood had also departed.

Our guests this week are Laurie Evans, fresh from his triumph at the Big Bash where he was Man of the Match in the Final where Perth Scorchers swept aside Sydney Sixers to claim their fourth title. Laurie has been a long-time supporter of the show and it was great to catch up.

We also spoke to Patrick Foster, whose book “Might Bite” was released today. Patrick is a former Northants cricketer and the book is a gritty tale of how his life spiralled out of control as his addiction to gambling took hold. A superb read and we had a great chat with Patrick.

Plus the usual round up of news and results from around the cricketing world, as well as our usual features and some music thrown in too!

Show first broadcast on Thursday, 3rd. February. 2022 on Phoenix 98FM.
