On the day we celebrated national treasure Sir David Jason’s 82nd birthday it was strange to come across a real life story that could easily have come from the pen of John Sullivan, writer of Only Fools and Horses.

An entrepreneur has ordered some 10,000 commemorative cups and plates to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee later this year. Unfortunately the factory in China has produced these items all with a very noticeable spelling mistake –

Clearance website boss Karl Baxter said – “in classic Del Boy-style” – he will pitch them as collectors’ items.”What could be more unique than our limited-edition misprinted crockery?” he said.

Del Boy would be proud. “Cushty”

Also on the show today –

A fleet of robots has been unleashed to make the Olympics safer this year.

Rather than waiting on a street corner for a ride, people might one day be looking up to the skies at the AirCar.

Woman leaves a £500 handbag in a changing room.

You can hear all of that and much more by listening to the show here –
