Saturday evening has a brand new show ‘Geezers, Pleasers and Cheesers’. I’m playing the tunes that aren’t played enough, so there might be one or two records that you haven’t heard in yonks (I haven’t even heard the word yonks in…well….yonks!). Hopefully I can re-introduce you to some forgotten favourites and bring back some memories of good times, or you can find a new gem to play over and over again.
Kicking off in 1980 when I was first discovering music and deciding what my musical taste was going to be. We had “geezers” – The Specials, Robert Palmer, XTC and we heard “pleasers” – The Regents, The Bodysnatchers and some good ol’ fashioned “cheesers” – The Tourists and Crown Heights Affair. Plus we also had Dennis Waterman who is probably all three rolled into one!
