You may have heard us playing Bitcoin Love Song from philozopha on various shows on Phoenix FM recently … but who is he? We caught up with him to find out …
Tell us a little bit about your yourself?
I’m a millennial, singer/songwriter, producer and a retail investor.
I have a Masters degree in philosophy, hence my name philozopha – it contains an ironic play with my past.
When did you first start to develop a passion for music?
At the age of 16. I grew up listening to Bob Dylan, Aerosmith and Bruce Springsteen.
How would you describe your music to someone who hasn’t heard you before?
Cleverly written pop-rock with eccentric music production.
What music have you recorded and released to date?
Bitcoin Love Song is the first of a series of ironic/satirical pop/rock songs; the others will probably come out together on an EP in a couple of weeks.
Which artists do you enjoy listening to at the moment – and do they influence your work?
Recently, I enjoyed a lot listening to the Mountain Goats. They probably inspired me to attain more creative freedom in my songwriting.
Who would your dream collaboration be with?
Muse, or Dua Lipa (my wife would go wild haha)
What are your plans for the future?
To become a rockstar … no wait just kidding … to write great songs that become classics in their field. I would also love to write songs for other artists.
Where can we find out more about you?
You can hear me on Spotify and you can also follow me on Instagram too.
