This week our special guest is Steve Harmison, a key member of the England team that won that legendary Ashes series in 2005. Steve recounts his memories of the famous first day at Lord’s, the emergence of Kevin Pietersen and other highlights of his England career. We also talked about the problems he faced with mental health, one of the first high profile sports stars to publicly deal with this issue.
Lots of cricket to talk about, with the England vs Pakistan ODI series underway, which has been hit by Covid issues. A packed house is expected at Lord’s on Saturday as part of the government’s programme of pilot events. The LV County Championship resumed this week, with the Vitality Blast continuing in between red ball fixtures.
