Artist Feature: BMB Doobie

We’ve been playing out Seen It All, the new track from BMB Doobie, D-Rock and T3A here on Phoenix FM this week – and we caught up with BMB Doobie to find out more about his life and music.

Tell us a little bit about your yourself?

I am a 21 years old from Brooklyn Ny. I enjoy video games and basketball on my free time

When did you first start to develop a passion for music?

I started taking music seriously after my first studio song which was about 12 years ago

Which artists did you listen to while growing up?

I listened to a lot of Eminem, Lil Wayne, Busta Rhymes, Fabolous, Tupac the list goes on. I have a wide variety of sounds that I like.

How would you describe your music to someone who hasn’t heard you before?

If you never heard me before, you will find a lot of hard lyrics, harmonies, and lit beats. I wouldn’t say I’m a conscious rapper but I can be at times. I like different styles and switching up flows a lot. Overall, a catchy tune is what you are in store for listening to BMB Doobie

What music have you recorded and released to date?

“Natural”, “Rambo”, “Savage”, “Michael Jordan” Featuring D-Rock. “SNL” was my first solo song followed by “Comeback” Ft. EBK CashOut & Jae Nicole, Then “Seen it All” Ft. D-Rock & T3A

Which artists do you enjoy listening to at the moment – and do they influence your work?

I listen to a lot of Lil Tjay, GMGB Daidough, KJ Balla, Pop Smoke, Montana of 300/FGE, Bizzy Banks. I take inspiration from all of them but still trying to make my sound original.

Who would your dream collaboration be with?

My dream collaboration would be with Lil Wayne. I hear he freestyles all his verses in one take, I want to see that in person and pick his brain a little.

What are your plans for the future?

My plans for the future is to spend more time in the studio and actually honing my craft. I don’t want to get too comfortable in the process

Where can we find out more about you?

I’m on Instagram @brokemadebillionaires and T3A is on @someonenamedt3a.
