Sarah Laffling from the NSPCC- May Catchup

This week I was joined by Sarah Laffling for our monthly catch up about the amazing work going on at the NSPCC and Childline. Sarah told us all about the upcoming Childhood Day- an annual event designed to bring communities closer together to play and raise money for the NSPCC.

Sarah suggested tonnes of ways families and/or businesses could raise money, from treasure hunts to tournaments- you could even have the whole family dress up as superheroes!

We also chatted about Childline’s 35th anniversary, for which they are looking for Essex based companies to sign up to the ’35 club’, and help the charity run for just 1 day.

As we continue to fight against the impact the lockdown has had on children and young people, the NSPCC and Childline need your help more than ever, and if you, or your business, are able to help in any way, please do go to their websites for more information. You can also sign up for the 35 club via the just giving page.

And of course, if you are a young person in need of advice and support, or if you are concerned about a young person you know, please visit the NSPCC and Childline websites.
