We’ve been playing out Bee_Pet’s latest track, Between Dancing And Being (featuring Becky Gaber) on Phoenix FM show recently – and we caught up with Joachim Braun to find out a little bit more about himself and his music.
Tell us a little bit about your yourself?
I am a positive thinking person and I enjoy nature. We are living in a wonderful world and I love life. I love songwriting and producing music. It’s my pleasure making people happy with music and it’s a pleasure bringing people together through music. I also like writing words on paper when they fly to my mind. Some of them I put on my homepage.
When did you first start to develop a passion for music?
My passion for music started in 1984. I listened to New Wave and New Age music like Depeche Mode, Erasure (Vince Clarke), Simple Minds, Echo and the Bunnymen, Kraftwerk, Jean Michel Jarre, Tangerine Dream, Mike Oldfield, and so on.
How would you describe your music to someone who hasn’t heard you before?
The music I write is positive music, only positive vibes. Some songs are happy, some romantic, some for dreaming, some to think about. The lyrics have been chosen with care and there is always a sense behind the words. For some songs I produce music videos. I love to describe the music in pictures. If you want me to put my music in genres I would describe it as Alternative Rock, Indie, Electro.
What music have you recorded and released to date?
I have released 5 albums since 2010 under the name “Bee-Pet”. My brand new album “Never Ending” was released on 14 April 2021. It’s the best one! 🙂

Which artists do you enjoy listening to at the moment – and do they influence your work?
Since the mid 90s I have been listening to Country Music artists like George Strait, Brad Paisley, Toby Keith, Johnny Cash, Heather Myles and so on, but I guess they don’t really influence my work because I do not produce Country music …
Who would your dream collaboration be with?
There are so many real good Artists I would like to work with. Right now I would say Katie Melua because I love her voice.
What are your plans for the future?
My plans for the future? Songwriting and producing music and having fun with that, like I’ve always had. And making people happy with music …
Where can we find out more about you?
