Geoff Fletcher from Trailnet joins Georgia on Drive

Today I was joined by Geoff Fletcher from Trailnet to talk about the proposed new cycleway through Barrack Wood. They’re partnering up with Cycle Brentwood to raise the money needed to repurpose an old vehicle track and make it suitable for pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders. Geoff emphasised that having this route would be much safer than the current alternatives, and that it will help facilitate more people getting outdoors and opt for more environmentally friendly modes of travel.

We also chatted about Geoff’s favourite areas to cycle locally, Trailnet’s services, and even geocaching.

If you’d like to donate to the Barrack Wood cycleway fundraiser, you can find the crowdfunder page here, or for more information follow Trailnet and CycleBrentwood on Twitter!
