You may have heard us playing How You Do That by Twin Turbo B on recent shows here on Phoenix FM – and we caught up with him to find out more about his life and music.
When did you first start to develop a passion for music?
Since I was young I used to always be around music being that I was raised in a Haitian household. Shoutout my real Zoes out there!
Which artists did you listen to while growing up?
Growing up, I listened to many different artists to all types of genres a lot of Kompa which is the genre to Haitian music, there’s no artist in particular because I was versatile with listening to sounds.
How would you describe your music to someone who hasn’t heard you before?
Um great question, I’d describe my music as fun music. I don’t take the verses too serious because I refuse to be that type of artist.
What music have you recorded and released to date?
“How you do that” – that’s my new single right now I dropped it on my birthday because it was special to me, 4/20.
Which artists do you enjoy listening to at the moment – and do they influence your work?
Right now, I really been focused on my craft when I’m not in the studio and I listen to a lot of Kush Flo, Jean Valeur, Toppy Boss and Yung Lion. I always keep it home I listen to the home team musically.
Who would your dream collaboration be with?
Umm my dream collaboration will only become a dream when it happens, it’s like my sounds may not be approachable to a lot of artists.
