Saint Francis Hospice is celebrating the reopening of its stores this week with a massive 50% sale off all clothing.

The charity is thrilled to be welcoming customers into its shops on Monday 12th April for the first time this year as lockdown restrictions begin to ease.

“We’ve longed for the day when we can reopen and welcome back our local community,” said Michelle Nicholls, Director of Retail and Trading.

“All our customers will receive a very warm welcome when they visit our stores, and what’s more, there’s 50% off all clothing so there’s lots of incredible bargains to be snapped up.

“Buying preloved goods is the way to go. Not only is every purchase making a difference to someone who is seriously ill and in need of our care, it is also a wonderful way to help protect our planet.

“Your safety is our absolute priority and in line with government guidelines, social distancing measures are in place. Masks must continue to be worn and hand sanitisers are available in all our stores in Havering, Redbridge, Barking and Dagenham and Brentwood.”

With its 15 retail stores forced to close for over nine months and fundraising events and activities were cancelled, the Covid-19 pandemic has had a devastating impact on the charity’s ability to raise vital funds.

But despite all the challenges, it has continued to be there to care and support local people who are seriously ill at the Hospice and in the community.
