Paul Golder writes for the Brentwood Gazette
We’ve livened up Saturday evenings on Phoenix FM with the addition of Ali Robertson to our line up.
Ali is an artist, photographer and DJ from Brentwood who has stepped in to the 8pm slot on Saturday evenings to give listeners a taste of what they’re missing while the local pubs and clubs are closed.
Her show Dancefloor Devotion features upbeat and high energy music from the last few decades with track from artists including Luther Vandross, Kool and the Gang, Cathy Dennis, Bob Sinclair, Armand van Helden and DJ Fresh.
It’s great to have Ali on board – not least because we’ve got another great enthusaistic local presenter who loves their music, but also because her show adds to the wide variety of music and chat we’re already featuring seven days a week.
You can tune in on 98FM and online at www.phoenixfm.com to hear the show every Saturday.
** We’re starting to line up more and more guests for coming shows too. This week we’ll be featuring Southend band Modern Motive on One 2 Three with Stewart Pink, Claire Abraham from All Saints’ Church, Doddinghurst on a special Good Friday edition of Friday Night Extra with Patrick Sherring, and regular features from our book reviewer Margaret Mills and film buff Mark Searby.
