You may have heard us playing You Already Know from Sepsiss on air recently – and we caught up with Melissa Wolfe from the band to find out all about them.

Tell us a little bit about yourself?

Sepsiss is a female-fronted Hard Rock/Heavy Metal band from Manchester, NH, founded in 2010 by myself and William Savant. Together, the band combines a unique heavy metal sound with modern rhythms, emotional synths, and a blend of urban hardcore.

I sing clean vocals while William adds harsher vocal pieces; Cam Loud and William blend guitar roles for a unique shred-fest; and Mr. Goodbarz plays haunting keyboards complementing Johnny Impact on bass.

The band teases with their multi-genre experience, delivering a wide variety of down-tuned gruelling beats, traditional, urban, and modernized heavy ensembles. Sepsiss is a group that specializes in energetic live shows, passionate fans, and hard work ethic.

When did you first start to develop a passion for music?

My father is a guitar player. When I was just a kid, my father had a rock band of his own called Baker Road. I grew up surrounded by music and musicians, so I guess you could say it runs in my blood. As I got older, I wanted nothing more then to start a band of my own.

Which artists did you listen to while growing up?

I listened to bands such as Evanescence, Halestorm, Pantera, Asking Alexandria, Avenged Sevenfold, Alesana, Epica, Michael Jackson, Dio, Linkin Park, Bullet for my Valentine, and so many more.

How would you describe your music to someone who hasn’t heard you before?

Our music is like you took the best parts of every genre out there and threw it all in a big mixing pot, melted it all down, and blended it together. At the same time, we manage to keep that traditional heavy metal sound. There’s a little bit of everything for everyone.

What music have you recorded and released to date?

We released our first full-length album, Almost 11, through Pavement Entertainment in August 2020. You can pick up a physical signed copy directly from the band at our online shop here You can also grab up a digital copy on iTunes or Spotify by clicking here.

Which artists do you enjoy listening to at the moment – and do they influence your work?

Lately I’ve been listening to bands such as Roses Unread, Carpathia, Alloy, In This Moment, Diamante, and much more. However, they do not influence our work. We actually don’t tend to listen to the metal/rock genres much at all while writing. We try our best to be as unique and original as possible.

Who would your dream collaboration be with?

I would be happy to collaborate with the right person that fits our unique style. If it works, it works.

What are your plans for the future?

We are hoping to grab up an RV and go on our first big tour within the next year or two. Depending how this pandemic works out, we will see where it goes. In the meantime, we are currently writing our second album and recording. Our Grammy-nominated engineer, Glen Robinson, is returning for the next album as well to mix and master. We’ll have some more music videos coming out in the future and we are currently releasing our newest single “You Already Know” this April 30th, 2021. Big things to come!

Where can we find out more about you?

We have an official website at www.sepsiss.com and you can find us on Facebook and YouTube. We also have a Linktree page at linktr.ee/Sepsiss too.
