You may have heard us playing Insieme from Italian pianist Anniball Davide – and we caught up with him to find out more about his musical inspirations.
Tell us a little bit about yourself?
My current passions are music, flying, and maths – mathematics became my job (I’m a high school teacher) while music and flying became my hobbies. But it could have been another random combination.
When did you start to develop a passion for music?
I started with music – playing piano and guitar – quite late, when I was 14 years old. Although I was 45 when I started to flu!
Which artists inspire you?
If I have to name names, then Deep Purple, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Tangerine Dream, Grieg, Richard Strauss and Ottorino Respighi come to mind.
What music have you released to date?
The song “Insieme” together with “Pensiero in Re maggiore – Per Alearda” are the only songs I have published up to now.
What are your plans for the future?
I would certainly like to continue recording and releasing music. I am 56 years old now and I realise that my situation is a little unusual but, okay, I try.
If anyone likes what I play, I’ll be happy to propose other songs too.
Where can we find out more about you?
You can find my music on Soundcloud and Spotify.
