New Talent Tuesday- Lockdown Art Projects

Today I was joined by some of the art students at Brentwood School, along with their head of Department, Mr Lonsdale, to talk about staying creative in lockdown. Having each done an individual project inspired by lockdown, the girls chatted about how art has helped them cope with the current pandemic, as well as the beauty in the world around them that it has inspired them to focus on.

‘The most simple form of art that someone could do at home is photography…all you need is your phone or a camera’ suggested Poppy, who recommends art as a way to get away from the computer and all the virtual meetings that come with working from home.  ‘Just try and find some areas of beauty within where you live and you might be surprised.’

To check out some of the art the students have been producing recently, make sure to follow Brentwood School’s Art department on Instagram, and if you missed the interview, catch up below!
