You may have heard us playing Season Of Grace by independent gospel artist, singer and songwriter Ifeeh Sado – and we caught up with her to find out more about her life and music.

Tell us a little bit about your yourself?

Thank you for having me! I like to describe myself as a happy person. I try to find the positive in every situation. That is how I am able to push through especially when I feel stuck. I have been told I am empathetic and selfless.

I am a Navy veteran; my time served, my upbringing and experiences so far has shaped me into the person I am today.

I love to sing. I love to listen to music. I enjoy a good worship and I love spending time with my family. They give me life. When I am not working my 9-5 or writing, I am with my daughter. She is my EVERYTHING.

When did you first start to develop a passion for music?

It started at a very young age. I cannot remember now but I do remember I always sang at home at the top of my lungs all day driving my family crazy. I was a one man show.

I was also in my church choir and that was where I started to sing. I found that singing praises just brings me peace. Over the years, it developed into Ifeeh Sado.

Which artists did you listen to while growing up?

WOW! I am about to expose my age…okay, so I listened to Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Michael Bolton, Whitney Houston, Toni Braxton (LOL) among many others. My sister played them non-stop everyday, especially Michael Bolton so they were the ones I heard a lot of growing up.

How would you describe your music to someone who hasn’t heard you before?

Most of the songs that come to me are songs declaring God’s love, our strength in Him, overcoming and they are songs that will definitely empower, they remind you of who you are with Christ or as a child of God, songs that get you in a thanksgiving mood or songs of gratitude.

Season of Grace is a song that says because we are God’s children his Grace is sufficient for us all.

What music have you recorded and released to date?

I recorded my first song, Overcome, in 2019 and release it in 2020. Then Season of Grace came in 2020 and finally released it this year.

I started recording 2 other songs in 2020 and I am going to be releasing those with the EP or album depending on how things go. I am very excited for what is to come.

Which artists do you enjoy listening to at the moment – and do they influence your work?

I listen to Hillsong, Dunsin Oyekan, Lauren Diagle, TriblMusic, Bethel music and they all influence my work in one way or another.

Who would your dream collaboration be with?

Oh my! there are so many. I can’t even begin to list them.

What are your plans for the future?

I am currently working on an EP that I would love to release next. God has given me a message and I just want bless everyone with it through music.
