The T-shirt that could save lives- SolidariTee’s Lexi on the Refugee crisis

Today on the show I was joined by Lexi, the executive director of SolidariTee–  a student-run charity aiming to raise awareness about the refugee crisis. Working predominantly through supporting Non-Governmental Organisations to provide refugees with the legal aid they need, SolidariTee makes a substantial and lifelong difference to those they help and are one of the largest student-run charities.

The coronavirus pandemic has affected everyone over the last year- and that includes those in refugee camps. Not only does the lack of resources make social distancing and treatment very difficult, but lockdowns also often prevent refugees from visiting the legal aid they need. Lexi came on the show to tell us all about the current difficulties, and how the charity, and the NGOs they support, are working to overcome them, and continue their crucial work.

Check out the amazing work SolidariTee is doing by following them on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, or by going to their website.
