Phoenix hits 17 hours of daily content

Paul Golder writes for the Brentwood Gazette

Phoenix FM has currently got a full schedule of 17 hours of original programming every day from 7am to midnight – as many hours of live radio as we’ve ever put out.

However we’re always looking to do much more. Radio scheduling works on the same people doing the same shows each week – but as our volunteers increasingly find themselves with shift working or staggered hours in their day jobs, it’s not always easy to do that.

Our presenter James Roast has been putting out some fantastic content in his show The Happiness Algorithm, which focuses on mental health and wellbeing.

Due to his own workload as a clinical psychologist, James isn’t able to commit to a regular radio show – but he is carrying on the show by publishing some excellent podcasts, which are available to listen to at any time.

James’s recent guests include meditation teacher Rachael Morley, analyst Dr Samantha Anthony and award-winning author Giles Paley-Phillips.

James’s guests always offer some fascinating insights into the working of the mind, and there’s always something we can take away from it even if we think we don’t need to.

All of the shows can be heard again at https://www.phoenixfm.com/category/the-happiness-algorithm/
