Tonight we featured a number of unsigned acts and also local artists. We heard from Nikki that the Anglo European School in Ingatestone are the replacing their usual Christmas afternoon teas with entertainment for seniors at the school. This year they are organising delivering afternoon tea to their homes. She told us about a collection box at he school for physical donations. To make monetary donations please contact the school.
Tonight’s playlist

Simon & Garfunkel – The sound of silence – Requested by Phyl -there is am amazing story behind this track.
Michael Horner Trio – Morning in New York – before the end of March Michael was playing regularly in the Dorchester Hotel in London. This track gave a flavour of hearing him in that setting.
Rod Stewart – You’re in my heart – requested by Nikki.
Robbie Williams – Angles – requested by Patrick. How can this track be over 2o years old?

Laurie Green – Something in the way she moved – Laurie was the Bishop of Bradwell until retirement. As a young man he sang in folk clubs in San Francisco. This track transported us back to these times.

Birthdays during this last week.

Bjork – the Icelandic singer celebrated her 55th birthday. We heard It’s so quiet.

Patrick had the correct age for Bev Bevan and was the closet for Bjork and Carly Rae, making him a runaway winner this week.

Kate Bush – Hounds of love – requested by Chris who said she particularly loved the drumming on this track.

Red House Rhythm & Blues Duo – Chris on vocals and keyboard and Danny on guitar. This was a first take recorded in the last few days and sent exclusively to the show tonight. Find them on Facebook and Youtube.
