NATIONAL LEAGUE SOUTH REVIEW 14/11/20

By JOHN CHUBB

@JohnCphoenixfm

After beginning the 2020/21 season with four straight National League South defeats, things currently look rosier for Billericay Town.

Jamie O’Hara saw his side achieve a second consecutive win and rise to 13th place in the table, as second half goals from Jake Robinson and Jai Reason secured a 2-0 victory over Slough Town at New Lodge.

But there was disappointment for Chelmsford City who slipped to a second home defeat in a row against Hampton & Richmond Borough.

Wilson Carvalho scored the only goal of the game in the 67th minute, to leave the Clarets in 10th spot.

And it was another afternoon of misery for bottom club Braintree Town, who are still without a win this season after a 4-0 defeat at Eastbourne Borough.

Goals from Dean Cox, Charlie Walker (2) and Charley Kendall left George Borg’s side still with only one point from their first seven league fixtures.

Concord Rangers’ trip to Bath City was postponed after a Bath player tested positive for Coronavirus during the week. The Beachboys are currently in 17th place.
