We’ve been playing out Happy, the new track from Sync It Music featuring AlleXion X here on Phoenix FM, and we chatted to both Allexion X and Cindy from World Fusion Music Productions about the track and their songwriting.
Allexion X
Tell us a little bit about your yourself?
Allexion X: I’m a self-produced singer who plays piano, guitar, drums and bass. I’m originally from Jamaica in the West Indies but I currently live in New York City.
I come from a musical family and grew up playing piano and singing in church. I enjoy creating music that connects people to their emotions.
Cindy: I am a lyricist, and I have been writing since I was a small girl. I also run my own production company, having recently founded World Fusion Music Productions LLC in the USA.
When did you first start to develop a passion for music?
Allexion X: I developed my passion for music as a young girl – I have written, sung and composed songs since I was a teenager.
Which artists did you listen to while growing up?
Allexion X: I loved Aerosmith, Whitney Houston, Pink, Bob Marley, Anita Baker and the Beatles.
How would you describe your music to someone who hasn’t heard you before?
Allexion X: My music is a blend of pop and soul and are generally uptempo. It sends a message of being sexy, motivated and free.
What music have you recorded and released to date?
Allexion X: Take Flight (2019), Night & Day (2020), Happy (2020).
Cindy: I currently work with and represent young up and coming singers in America and Africa. We have a studio in America and are building one in Lagos. I enjoy all genres of music and appreciate quality arrangement and production of any song. I also appreciate authentic. Music has always been a part of my family and my life. This song sung by Allison is her message to the world. She is a genuinely happy girl and we need some happy in the world today! I am hoping to bring some with the airing of this song and to give her a little exposure. We are an international production company.
Which artists do you enjoy listening to at the moment – and do they influence your work?
Allexion X: I currently enjoys listen to Lizzo, Ariana Grande, H.E.R., and Chika – and yes, they do influence my style!
Who would your dream collaboration be with?
Allexion X: This would have to be with H.E.R.
What are your plans for the future?
Allexion X: I will be releasing singles and music videos throughout 2021 and I am preparing for an album release in 2022. I’m also looking for placements of my music in film, TV and commercials. I’m all about loving life and adding to the life of others.
Cindy: I am working with 6 artists, including 5 women, at this time – all of which have talent and ambition.
