Assuming you have one, what do you have on the mantelpiece?
We have a clock and odd bits and pieces like paperclips that just seemingly find their way there.
But one man in Tennessee kept a rather questionable ornament in the shape of a skull wearing sunglasses on his.
Unfortunately someone tipped off police that the skull might bear some investigation, and so it proved when after it was seized it was discovered that the skull actually belonged to someone called, JUNIOR WILL McCANN who had been missing for 8 years!
It is believed that he had been done to death by a family member, who had themselves since also cast off their mortal coil.
The question of why anyone would display such an item openly on their mantelpiece, whilst presumably knowing full well what it really was, defies logic.
Investigations are now on-going, although it’s probably a bit late for that.
For her historical feature this afternoon, Margaret Mills took us for a visit to the Dutch cottage in Rayleigh.
Listen again here to what Margaret told me this afternoon: –
Hope to have your company again next week,
