Now if you’re getting fed up with all the latest crack down measures against Covid, just bear a thought for people in Indonesia caught violating the rules, by for example, failing to wear a mask. Authorities there have come up with novel ways of dealing with offenders by either making them get into coffins, or dig graves!
Apparently cemeteries actually scare people in Indonesia, so authorities believe they can frighten people into complying with the rules.
Miscreants are kitted out in high-vis jackets bearing the word VIOLATOR, loaded into the back of a truck fitted with loudspeakers pumping out the message that they have broken regulations, and are driven to the nearest graveyard where they are either forced to climb into a coffin, or if someone has just died of COVID, dig the grave, and tidy around the plots of the newly dead.
Sounds like a nice day out!
Anyway back in the workplace don’t you just love it when one of your colleagues is held up as a model employee who does their job so well that everyone is encouraged to follow their example!
But you might think twice about following the example of a cleaner at a fertiliser factory in China where bosses called staff together so they could all see why she has been classified as an exemplary employee, and publicly praised for her dedication.
So what was it that made her stand out from the crowd?
Well after cleaning the loos, just to show how clean they are, she drinks water straight out of the pan!
With bosses and her colleagues in attendance, after cleaning a loo, she went back into the cubicle, filled a cup from the water and then downed the contents to a round of applause from the assembled gathering.
Well I don’t think that’s my cup of tea!
Well I think I might have a pint (of lager) when I get home.
See you again tomorrow,
Scott
