And now a phone that repairs itself!

Clumsy iPhone users may soon be able to invest in a product that automatically repairs dents and scratches.

Reports claim it will use an elastomer, which with the help of a little heat can stretch and return to its original form. This may occur either automatically, or at a designated time; for example, you might pop your phone on to charge and simultaneously mend its imperfections.

In the second hour of today’s programme I was joined by Margaret Mills who was looking at a piece of agricultural machinery which started life in Wickford – THE DARBY DIGGER.

Unfortunately due to a number of factors, not least the high cost of production and the reported unreliability of the product, it never achieved its potential.

See you again next week,
Scott
