Presumably she was anxious to continue to look after people on a high!

Romanian national, Alexandra Florentina Dobre, 27, had previously worked for several different airlines at Luton Airport, but after losing both her ‘well paying’ job and her accommodation earlier this year when lockdown restrictions came in, moved to Staffordshire after meeting a man on a dating app who enlisted her a courier, delivering packages of cocaine.

When stopped by police in Stoke-on-Trent and was found to have 6 wraps of cocaine in her purse and a subsequent search of her house uncovered another 81 wraps, worth around £2500  hidden away inside the wrappers of a ‘well-known confectionery brand’ beside her bed.

Perhaps they were violet or purple hearts!

Looking at crime at an earlier period in time, Margaret Mills turned her attention today to the smugglers who used to operate widely in the coastal areas of Essex.

Listen again here to what Margaret had to reveal about those “swashbuckling” times: –

I’ll see you again next week,
