JB Rose brought more than just her talent as guest on Sunday arts

Paul Golder writes for the Brentwood Gazette

Note from Paul: I did not write the headline!

Thankfully we’re starting to get more and more live guests back in the Phoenix FM studio while the current restrictions ease, and out Sunday afternoon arts programme is no exception to this.

Our regular hosts Rob West and Claire Gevaux welcomed Essex dance/soul vocalist, playwright and singing vegan mum JB Rose. She’s recently returned to the music scene to release her new single – Back to Love and came in to talk about her music and her career.

As a committed vegan, JB also came in with a food offering of her own which went down very well!

Recent guests have included photographer Mark Massey, actress Pippa Moss and academic Terri Simpkin who are all part of Essexism – a portrait project challenging the stereotype of the ‘Essex Girl’. The show has also featured regular Phoenix FM guest John Brandler, art expert and owner of the town’s Brandler Galleries.

Rob and Claire present the Arts Programme every Sunday at 4pm on 98FM and www.phoenixfm.com, and all of the previous shows can be heard online at https://www.phoenixfm.com/category/the-arts-programme/
