On today’s programme, buried within a pile of just sensational music, we heard about the new technology being tested, which it is claimed could deliver music directly into your brain.
We also learnt about the woman who is well on the way to achieving her bid to obtain a house merely by doing swaps and starting with nothing more than a hairpin.
Incredible!
But first off we looked at the plans to bring music closer to you than ever.
Have you ever suffered from tinnitus?
If so how would you feel about music being fed straight into your brain?
Pretty “mind blowing” I should think! But apparently this technology is on the way.
In the world of personal music players, first off came the cassette operated players, then came the mp3 players of various kinds and now boss of Tesla and the Space X Project, ELON MUSK has come up with a NEURALINK BRAIN CHIP which it is claimed will allow users to listen to music by sending it directly to their brains.
How you change the volume or select the tracks you want to hear is as yet unclear.
But not only that, as the entrepreneur says the chip can also help to control hormone levels to provide enhanced abilities plus reasoning and anxiety relief.
The ultimate aim would be to allow humans to compete with artificial intelligence.
Apparently having the chip fitted would be like having laser eye surgery. The chip would then be linked to a computer, presumably via wi-fi.
Mr Musk says trials of the new technology have already started on animals with human trials expected later this year.
Meantime if you see an animal boogying away, it could be undergoing a trial to test its taste in music!
Knowing how computers can often misbehave, become infected with viruses etc., I think I’ll stick with the tried and tested mp3 player for now.
Just imagine the thing suddenly turning itself on in the middle of the night!
More information is set to be announced on 28th August.
So how good do you think you are at making swaps?
Do you think you could manage to to swap a hairpin for a house?
Not in one go of course, that really would be something!
Well 29-year old DEMI SKIPPER from San Francisco clearly thinks she can achieve this and starting 2 months ago, with nothing more than a hairpin, she has already managed a number of successful trade-ups.
Along the line of completed swaps, she has traded a vacuum cleaner for a snowboard, and an i-Phone 11 Pro for a Dodge Ram Van.
Keeping to the rules of her TRADE ME PROJECT, she is prevented from using cash or trading with anyone she knows.
Early each morning she sends out around 1000 messages, when her life becomes “all trades”.
M/s Skipper says persistence is the key and you have to be resilient. Apparently she was inspired to take on the challenge after watching a video about KYLE MacDONALD who, over the space of just one year, and 14 trades, managed to swap a red paper clip for a house.
M/s Skipper’s hair pin was first exchanged for a pair of earrings and then a set of margarita glasses – which were, in turn, bartered for a vacuum cleaner. The project almost came off the rails after the minivan broke down after being driven across the US to be delivered and she was forced to trade it for a $2000 electric skateboard.
Well onward and upward then!
See you again tomorrow,
Scott
