Fancy a bite?

Just for a change we reported on a “real life vampire” – well that’s what she claims to be, but her days could now be numbered.

Yes, truly 27-year old LILITH VAMPYRE of South London who says she’s actually 600 years old, lives up to her name, drinking other people’s blood!

Amazingly she’s attracted 150,000 followers on her instagram account, who are probably keeping an eye on her whereabouts in case she strikes without warning.

In true vampire style, Lilith does her level best to keep out of sunlight, really only coming into her own after dark.

Since she holds down a normal 9-5 job, Lileth says that whilst she can go outside during the day she finds it draining and is at her best after sunset.

Lilith says she became a vampire at the age of 18 and first drank human blood out of curiosity.

“It tastes metallic, almost copper like, she said,  although the taste can vary”, presumably depending on the blood group.

“The lifestyle consists largely of  socialising  with other vampires and attending events and clubs together. We love to dress up and wear fangs, though it is not customary but certainly adds to the aesthetic. We make a small cut on the skin in a discreet spot, and drink it from there. It doesn’t have to be a large  amount, I find it’s more about the overall act. It’s very intimate.”

She says she enjoys the whole ‘vampire lifestyle’ explaining: “I find that being a vampire is liberating and empowering, and I love the air of mystery that comes with it.”

Well she and her like minded friends had better watch out as a vampire slaying kit is about to go under the hammer at an on-line auction arranged by Derbyshire based HANSON AUCTIONEERS this coming Thursday the 16th July.

With an estimated price tag of £3000, the kit comes complete with pliers, a rosary, a bottle containing shark’s teeth and a copy of the New Testament dated 1842.

Any takers?

Keeping to the macabre side of things, the book choice selected this month by Margaret Mills as a psychological thriller “THE SILENT PATIENT” by ALEX MICHAELIDES.

The book centres on ALICIA BERENSON, a famous talented painter who has lived a cozy, comfortable life in London with her husband, GABRIEL, that is until she is discovered standing over his body tied to a chair and shot in the face five times.

Refusing to offer any kind of explanation – to the extent of not uttering a single word, she is eventually committed to a psychiatric unit in North London called THE GROVE.

6 silent years later, enter criminal psychotherapist, THEO FABER, who has always been obsessed with Alicia’s story, and after managing to worm his way into THE GROVE is convinced that unlike others, he will finally be able to get Alicia to reveal all.

To establish whether or not he succeeds you will need to read the book!

In the meantime listen here to Margaret’s take on this offering: –

If you would like to investigate further, here are the book details: – ‘The Silent Patient” by Alex Michaelides (2019)   Published by Orion.  Paperback £6.74, Kindle £1.99, Audio CD £31.00 (all Amazon),  Paperback £7.37 (WH Smith), eBook = £3.99.

I’ll see you again tomorrow,
