Exercise is very important for all of us at the moment, and can be equally as difficult, particularly if you are self isolating at the moment and have little or no outdoor space that can be used. There is little chance of sports centres and gyms opening any time soon either so you need to work out an easy exercise routine to keep you in trim.
Finding the motivation is challenging so keep it simple. There is so much information on line so take advantage of expert advice, if you have been attending a class before lock down, your teacher may still be running classes so do check that out if you can,and of course Joe Wicks is the physical health guru from the super fit to those who may be a little older or less able.
Try and break your home exercise into smaller more manageable chunks, so you can spread it through the day. Get creative. Before you get out of bed in the morning you can do some simple stretches and build energy and motivation for the day ahead.
Squeeze your shoulders towards your ears and then let them drop away from you to ease out those tight shoulders. Bend your knees then gently fold them over to the side, repeat on both sides and do three or four movements to each side.
Exercise doesn’t have to be difficult, make sure it’s achievable and that will keep you motivated.
