Blank Generation 15 – Psycho Therapy With Stuart Pearce

Blank Generation 15 - Psycho Therapy With Stuart Pearce

This has to be the most surreal show to date. With my two main interests being football and punk rock, playing my favourite records in the hope of changing just one person’s perception of punk rock was initially more than enough. To then get to interview some of my punk rock heroes and play their chosen tracks is a continuing series of dreams coming true.

So imagine how I felt when out of the blue (Via Kieran from Resistance 77, via Mark from Captain Oi!), I get a call from football legend and punk rock fanatic, Stuart Pearce MBE. I was a nervous wreck for a whole week leading up to the show. We are talking England football legend Stuart “Psycho” Pearce. I’m new to this media lark and he is a seasoned pro (football AND media). What if the recording didn’t work? I needn’t have worried, we were on the same level when it came to punk rock knowledge and got on like a house on fire (I hate that expression).

I promise you, if you like football you will love this show. If you like football AND punk rock you will LOVE this show even more.

I just wish I’d asked him more about when the Stranglers granted him his request to smash up their dressing room!!
