Michelle spoke to Paul Maleary of Ex Job Community Volunteers. Paul is a retired DCI and was with the Police Service for over 30 years.

ABOUT Ex Job Community Volunteers

Ex Job Community Volunteers  harnesses the skills of former police and military across the UK to support the communities in which they live. They also have neighbourhood watches and other community based groups on board. They have over four thousand people who have registered across the UK, with coordinators assisting and they are  are able to cover most requests.

There are lots of people who are vulnerable by definition but fall outside of the NHS support and we can assist

 

INTERVIEW

We have volunteers who can assist form carrying out shopping to talking on the phone. We will be assisting with military associations to support veterans who are in need of support.  

We have assisted Macmillan in Lincolnshire, been shopping for visually impaired groups and former police and military personnel who are now in need of help. We are working with a number of regimental associations. Driving to and from hospital.

A professional kitchen for four chefs provided by Ex Job Community Volunteers to feed NHS Staff which will run for the duration of lockdown. The professional kitchen would need to be within the square mile, London.
