Who was ANNE KNIGHT?

Well Anne Knight was a well known Quaker lady, born in Chelmsford in 1786 who went on to campaign for women’s rights.

When I say well known, sadly her name and accomplishments, are far better known outside of our county rather than locally.

Amazingly she even has a village named after her in Jamaica!

Listen again here to what Margaret told me today: –

All being well I’ll see you again next week,
