Charity that helps create memorable challenges

We were joined in the studio this week by Alex Gibson and Andrew Cappaert who came in to talk about Challenging MND.

Challenging MND is a national charity which supports suffers of Motor Neurone Disease, a debilitating progressive disease which involves degeneration of the motor neurones and wasting of muscles.

However Challenging MND uses a slightly different approach. Whilst most MND charities admirably raise money for much needed medical research, Challenging MND sets out to create memorable challenges for people living with MND, giving them, their friends and families lifelong memories that can never be taken away.

It was very inspirational to hear Andrew and Alex talk to Michelle Ward about the work they do on the charity’s behalf.

You can find out more about Challenging MND at www.challengingmnd.org and Alex and Andrew’s interview with Michelle can be heard again at www.phoenixfm.com.

** We have lots more local guests lined up over the next seven days on Phoenix FM.

** Stephen Cottrell, Bishop of Chelmsford and the new Archibshop of York will be talking exclusively to Patrick Sherring on Friday Night Extra. This is a great coup for us, as he hasn’t been giving out many interviews since his new appointment was announced.

** Author Jack Pridmore will be chatting with James Roast about Obsessive Compulsive Disorder on The Happiness Algorithm, and children from Hogarth Primary School will be coming in to talk about their charity fundraising project on Drive.
