We’ve all got to eat!

We reported today on how police came to the rescue of one hungry McDonald’s customer.

It seems that the courier assigned to the job made a complete meal of it, having his car seized after it emerged that he didn’t possess the right level of insurance cover.

He now faces a hefty fine of up to £5000, 6 points on his licence plus an additional recovery fee to re-claim his car, or risk having it crushed.

Not wishing to disappoint the hungry customer, the arresting officers then took it upon themselves to complete the delivery.

It’s not clear whether or not they were hoping for a tip!

Being a Tuesday I was joined by our resident local historian, MARGARET MILLS, who was this week taking a look at the Essex Agricultural strike which took place during several months in 1914, only ending just as the First World War was starting.

I’ll see you again next week,
