Artistic endeavours put in the spotlight on new show

Paul Golder writes for the Brentwood Gazette

Phoenix FM’s new arts programme on Sunday afternoons continues to have a steady stream of local guests.

Rob West and Claire Gevaux welcomed Jill Busby, a Brentwood-based artist creating sculptures and mixed media art using her background in fine art, ceramics and graphic design.

Dr Liam Jarvis is a researcher and theatre maker as well as a senior lecturer at the University of Essex. Liam’s latest book – Immersive Embodiment – looks at the relationship between performance and technology.

Both interviews were extremely interesting and shines a light on some of the many areas that local people use to make our town a better place through their artistic endeavours.

All of their shows, including the interviews with Jill and Liam, can be found at our website at phoenixfm.com.

Rob and Claire are always looking for new guests and you can get in touch with them via our website, or their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/ProgrammeArts/

* Lots more guests coming up in the next seven days on Phoenix FM. Moira Dare-Edwards and Natasha Radford will be talking about this year’s International Holocaust Memorial Day on Eat My Brunch with Michelle Ward, and Margaret Mills will be coming in for her monthly book review with Scott Ross on One 2 Three.

* There will also be live music in the studio from Emma Watson, Veronica O’Grday and Maria Hayward.
