Hannah gives an insight into study about mental health of the young

Paul Golder writes for the Brentwood Gazette

Michelle Ward was joined in the studio by Hannah Fletcher from Healthwatch Essex to talk about the recent study into mental health of young people.

Healthwatch Essex is an independent voice for the people of Essex, who gather and represent the public’s views about health and care services in the county to help improve them.

Young people often have a poorer experience of the health and care services they use and therefore it’s vital to find out their experiences in order to improve existing services or create new ones.

Over the last five years Healthwatch Essex has gathered the health and social care lived experience of young people in Essex through the YEAH! and SWEET! (Services We Experience in Essex Today) projects. Hannah came in to talk about the recent SWEET!3 report.

You can hear the interview again at phoenixfm.com. Healthwatch Essex are always looking for feedback on the county’s health and social care services and they can be reached on 0300 500 1895.

Lots more guests coming up over the next seven days on air. Emma Priest and Claire Huartson from financial experts FRP Advisory will be talking about this year’s Brentwood Business Awards, and Sylvia Kent and Joy Blackmuir will be joining Michelle Ward in the studio on Thursday for this month’s Book Club feature.

There will also be live music in the studio from Angry, Delightful Book Brigade and Mitchell Winn.
