I caught up with Charlotte Carpenter ahead of her stunning set at Latitude’s BBC Introducing Stage.

An independent artist, Charlotte runs Babywoman Records as well as writing, performing and producing all of her music – a talented musician and an inspiration for young women in the music industry. She also makes amazing coffee!

We talked about her emotionally charged lyrics, what it means to be a record label boss and independent artist, her new single, her self-booked European tour and “the poo girl”!
