Don’t be ridiculous – Live Aid was 34 years ago you say?? Surely not [counts on fingers] OH GOOD GRIEF!
The concert itself lasted 16 hours! And due to the artists performing simultaneously in London & Philadelphia, the combined length was of course even greater.
Queen gave – according to an industry poll – the greatest live performance in the history of rock music. 75,000 people clapped along in unison to ‘Radio Ga Ga’.
Live Aid was reported to have had 1.9 billion viewers in 150 countries and the concert holds the record for the most-watched television event in history.
