Nicknames for strangers and saluting the Lionesses – Rock Show

It’s a long story that all started with me trying to get cheaper car insurance but ultimately ended with me being ordained as The Reverend of Rock on last night’s As Yet Untitled Rock Show.

We hit the air waves seconds after the whistle blew in The Lionesses’ semifinal defeat to USA so with a proud salute to the heroic efforts of the England Women’s football team we put together a rocking playlist of songs with ladies names in the title.

I also asked you to share some of the creative nicknames for people you often see out and about but don’t know their names – as always you were on great form! If you missed it and you’re intrigued to find out the origins of “The Fried Piper” and “John Le Pants” then you can catch the best bits of all my shows this week on my podcast. There’s a new episode every Sunday with the highlights from all my shows on Phoenix FM. You can find my podcast “Stewart Pink on Phoenix FM” wherever you get you get your podcasts from or you can hear it on this webpage – once it’s ready, I’ll add a play button below.
