Hi Chris, Tell us a little bit about your yourself?
I’m originally from Mississippi, I’m a singer, songwriter and event producer. I currently live in Columbia South Carolina.
When did you first start to develop a passion for music?
When I was 8 years old, I remember listening to blues music with my father on the weekends and listening to Motown music through the week with my mother.
Which artists did you listen to while growing up?
I listened to a little of everything Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Prince, Bobby Blue Bland, Sam Cooke, Michael McDonald and Boyz II Men.
How would you describe your music to someone who hasn’t heard you before?
My music is like a bridge, once you hear it the style and sound connects you to either side and allows you the freedom to go in any direction as you please.
What music have you recorded and released to date?
I recorded and released my first single “Hello” back in January 2019. In May 2019 I released two songs “Losing My Mind” and “Hot Sauce Baby”.
Which artists do you enjoy listening to at the moment – and do they influence your work?
I listen to John Legend, Calvin Richardson, and a slew of old school artists. Yes, everything I listen to influences me in some way.
Who would your dream collaboration be with?
I’d love to collaborate with Quincy Jones.
What are your plans for the future?
My short term plans are to keep pushing the three songs I recently released then, set up a few tours throughout the southern states and the United Kingdom.
