Double Dose of Fox – Take 3 – Father’s Day

When Mother’s Day is such a cute and flowery advertisement of an affair, it is easy sometimes to forget that Father’s Day, and the marvellous men in our lives who have shaped us, is just as vital as celebrating the incredible women we know.

On tonight’s show, we focused on the men in ours lives. Specifically of the Father and Grandfather variety, and the memories they have gifted to us throughout our lives.

Interwoven with the hilarious tales of angry Dads (courtesy of Twitter), we talked about the men who raised us.

As someone who is an admitted (and proud) “Daddy’s Girl”, it wasn’t difficult to talk about the man I adore. But, it was also important to nod to those who have left us. I am fortunate enough to still have my father, my husband’s passed away in 2016. So to hear his stories from a different perspective, left me feeling all the more grateful to still have mine here.

Whether it be stealing heavy rocks, ordering “pink” ice cream only to receive mint, wondering why your children bought you and your wife a night in a hotel for your anniversary, or hitting yourself in the nose with a dog toy – these men shaped us and those before us. Tonight’s show was for them.

To the men in our lives, Fathers, Grandfathers, Uncles, Cousins, Nephews, Friends – you are a gift, and we love you for it.
