Rock band King Crimson are celebrating their 50th anniversary this year and I caught up with the band’s lead singer and guitarist, Jakko Jaksyzk.

Jakko chatted about his career in music both before and after joining King Crimson, and gave details of their mammoth world tour and new music.

We also got a chance to talk about Jakko’s previous visits to Phoenix FM as a guest of Steve Davis – and his work on the debut album from Brentwood band The Screens.

King Crimson are releasing a new boxset – Heaven & Earth – covering the band’s output from 1997 to 2008, featuring a mammoth 24 discs – 18 CDs, 4 Blu-Rays and 2 DVD-A.
