1982 – Queen released their 10th studio album Hot Space . The album was less popular with fans as it had more disco, funk, rhythm & blues, dance & pop music on the album. Q magazine listed Hot Space as one of the top fifteen albums “where great rock acts lost the plot”. However, it did produce this duet with David Bowie – Under Pressure!

1986 – Peter Gabriel released his fifth studio album SO. Often considered his best and most accessible album, So was an immediate commercial success. The album’s lead single, “Sledgehammer”, won a record of nine MTV Video Music Awards.
