Double dose of Fox…take 2 – Travelling

One half of the Fox household is a total travel bunny, the other one is not…that would be me. As someone who loves their creature comforts, travelling always appeared far too wild for me. This week, Mr Fox shares with Mrs Fox the interesting stories from his 9 month trek around the world, including the time he ate dog soup. (Disgusting, I know.) In 2010 3 friends set off on a journey that would last the best part of a year. They left as boys, and returned as boys who were 9 months older and had huge, straggly beards.

Beginning in India, Kieran tells me of their first, and his personal favorite, stop and the delicious foods, spiritual places and savvy locals who convinced him to give them a shiny gold pound that was nothing to him, but got them two pints at the local…or a full meal.

We travelled around the world in stories and jokes, stopping off in China, Vietnam, Thailand, Australia, Chile and quite a few others for a different experience and usually some weird food Kieran insisted on eating.

Despite being together for over four years, I had never heard these stories quite as in depth as I did on this show. It was a learning experience for me and topped off with the story of a particularly zealous TSA agent in their Miami stop off on the way home that is always hilarious to me.

We hope you enjoyed your second double dose of Fox, and maybe were inspired to explore the world. You might have your backpack sliced open, but at least you’ll have lots of memories.
