James Bond & The Russian Spy Whale

It was the Friday before bank holiday and as we counted down to the weekend, we set to task speculating over new James Bond film titles. As the previous Bond girl is set to return in the new movie, we were reimagining original titles under the premise that James Bond argues with the Mrs. You came up trumps on this one with suggestions like “Dr No, Still No, How Many More Times, No” – “The Spy Who Never Loved Me” – “Gold Two Fingers” and “Diamonds Are Refundable”

We also added Gene Pitney to our growing list of dubious celebrity connections, heard brand new music from Bruce Springsteen and covered the bizarre story of a Russian Spy Whale.

If you missed it, I’ve put together a clip with some of the best bits. You can listen to them below or, so that you never miss our little talks, you can now subscribe to the new podcast version. Just search “Stewart Pink” wherever you get your podcasts from.

If you’d like to get in touch about the show, request a song, get involved with our features or anything else then I’d love to hear from you. You can find me on social media if you click here or email the studio on radio@phoenixfm.com with my name in the subject title.

I’ll be back on Tuesday at 10pm – join me then for the rock show, I’ll be sitting in for Michelle on Eat My Brunch from 10am on Wednesday or catch me on One2Three again next Friday at 1pm.
