The Billericay Emergency Food Bank is running short of supplies at the moment.
Might you be able to purchase a couple of extra items next time you go shopping?
The Co-op at Queens Park has agreed to be a collection point to which donated goods can be taken. Alternatively, there is a collection point in Emmanuel church in Laindon Road and other churches in Billericay. Goods can be taken to St. John’s church in Outwood Common around 2.00 pm any Thursday (FYI., this is not the same day that clients will be attending the food bank).
These are the food items being collected:
Canned meals
Canned meat
UHT milk
Canned potatoes
Canned vegetables
Pasta sauces
Soup/Noodles
Cereals
Canned/Dried desserts
Tea/Coffee
Squash
Rice/pasta
These are the hygiene items being collected:
Nappies
Sanitary products
Shaving equipment
Soap
Shampoo
Deodorant
Wipes
Toilet Roll
Tooth Brushes
Toothpaste
Brushes/Combs
Flannels/Sponges
It’s a cause of great concern for all of us that more and more people are relying on food banks to be able to feed their families – even in Billericay.
