A Couple of Holiday suggestions, perhaps!

This was a bonus edition of the show for me today, as sadly Bob could not be here.

Nevertheless we managed to take a quick look at Amsterdam’s unusual new cinematic attraction – 5D Porn.

The new cinema offers porn fans a whole new way to watch x-rated movies with bizarre features like bouncing chairs coupled with wind and water jets designed to stimulate all five senses offering viewers a totally immersive experience.

Cinema owner, Natalie insists that in spite of the smut appearing on the screen, that this is a suitable venue to spend an evening with loved ones and that it is not unlike being in an amusement park.

Bring your wife she says, insisting that the experience will leave you feeling “energised”.

Natalie said that the films are quite expensive to make so they will only be produced in small numbers.

A total of 18 people can attend a screening with just one film being shown and with 6 screenings of that film being played per hour, it doesn’t seem to me that you get much for your money.

Indeed tickets cost £10.70 for 6 minutes.

Bearing in mind that they are going to blast you with wind and soak you with water,  you might just as well go for a walk along the seafront in a gale and save your money.

Meanwhile if you fancy a trip further-afield, how would you feel about joining the trip to the edge of the world, just announced by The Flat Earth Society who aim to prove once and for all that the Earth is indeed flat!

Although their website proclaims that the fact that the world is indeed flat should be clear to everyone and that to prove this, ”The simplest (way) is by relying on one’s own senses to discern the true nature of the world around us.

“The world looks flat, the bottoms of clouds are flat, the movement of the Sun; these are all examples of your senses telling you that we do not live on a spherical heliocentric world.”

However the Society is now intent on providing concrete evidence, by sailing to Antartica.

It seems that members believe that the earth is more like a disc than a ball, and is surrounded by a massive icy wall, creatively known as the ‘Ice Wall’; however, they don’t claim to know what lies beyond the wall.

Their website reads: “Beyond the Ice Wall is anyone’s guess. How far the ice extends; how it terminates; and what exists beyond it, are questions to which no present human experience can reply.”

But they are hoping that the planned trip will provide answers to this thorny question.

What might provide a slight problem for the intrepid travellers is quite how they plan to get there since all ship navigation and charts have been designed on the premise that the Earth is round.

A former cruise ship captain who has sailed two million miles, give or take, commented that he had not encountered a single captain who subscribed to the theory that the Earth is flat.

I guess we’ll just have to wait for the results of the FLAT EARTH CRUISE 2020 and see.

Should be interesting!

See you again next week,
Scott
